With the cost of dental implants being rather high for those that need them, more and more people are looking to complete their treatment abroad to save a few pounds. Here, we put this into perspective and have compared the real costs of doing this.
Poland
(This is assuming a 1 week stay at the end of June 2010).

How to get Implant Treatment Cheaper
As using dentists abroad to get your treatment for less may seem captivating at first – but it turns out not as cheap as you expected (once the additional travel expenses, accomodation etc come into account).
In both these cases, you would save about £500 from this cost, simply by using the Implantium Network in the UK.
I will consider this. Looks a lot easier than travelling.
Hadn’t really added everything up I was drawn to the headline price. At least you get a holiday but i think i would prefer a holiday after without the discomfort !
the prices really seem to be plucked from thin air i simply cannot imagine that anyone would need to spend that much in poland at least unless your flying british airways and staying in 5 star hotels, the dental care would be cheaper too by about a halve, it does not change the fact that personally i would get them done in a country i stay in purely due to probability of complications and immediate care available

I must say I do regret that the info given in the altcire is not very complete. You can’t compare every treatment in one or the other clinic with each other. It is comparing apples with pears. Some treatments for instance need work to be send out to dental laboratories. Like veneers and crowns. Not every lab charges the same and not every quality of their work and materials used is the same. The price a dentist pays for a crown he buys from the lab can differ from 25 pounds to 400 pounds. Guess what kind of material you get for the cheap crown. Not something you would like to put in your mouth most of the time. So you might buy a nice and cheap veneer, but if the quality is poor the result will not be lasting as well.Same goes for implants: what kind of implant is used. Is it an implant with good result or is it just some kind of paperclip?And then for the root canal treatment. What are you comparing? Front teeth, with only one canal, or maybe a molar with 3, 4 or even 5 canals? Further back in the mouth and treatment time that can exceed 4 times the amount for an incisor. Also materials and techniques used differ a lot. Was there a microscope used? That will drive the price up considerably. You will understand you can’t just compart A root canal treatment, you need to compare apples with apples.And then the excperience of the dentist. It is like a builder. Not every builder is as good as the other. You don’t have an extension build on your house by everyone. It must be someone with a good reputation, who keeps up to date with latest techniques and has a nice and honest personality before you will have them work done.And I can go on and on.. Please get the facts in a right format, because the way this is presented now, just does not get the right picture.Thanks

If i was qualified i would have done them for baacislly nothing (just the cost of what i used) but im not qualified yet. Haha when i am a dentist i’ll be too nice and have no money because i’ll be giving everyone who needs it free work haha ah well Oh and in the UK you can be put to sleep as for the price off a UK dentist it would vary, i’d have to see your teeth to estimate a price.References :
